What inspired me to write the Cursed Unit you may ask? A song. Hell Awaits by the Heavy Horses was a song and band I came across while trying to find a happy medium with my Country Music loving husband. Personally I prefer Goth, Metal, and J-pop/Anime. Finding the concept of Gothic Country was rather exciting. As I listened to Heavy Horses I found images building within my mind, pictures that evolved and started to create a story. It wasn't that long until the story begged to be written, and so I did. My original ideas were actually written with pen and paper then transferred to my laptop. It wasn't long until I had my first book completely written down and just in need of polishing and editing. Soon I was pulled to write the next and the next. As each story completed the next would pound and invade until it was also written down. I wasn't going to publish, in reality I don't consider my writing to be that spectacular. After doing some research and talking with family I decided to go ahead and use KDP to self publish. I don't regret the decision despite lackluster sales. My writing is specific to a specific audience. I do wish I had spaced thing differently. My first four books were actually all written and waiting for publishing almost a year before I published. I was already writing Computer Planet as well as a couple of other projects. Writing has now become my second full time job, my first being a care giver for my husband and raising my grandson.
